first i'd just like to say a quick thank you to my talented friend lesley denford for inspiring me to make my own blog and giving me ideas on where to go with it....
i am not an artist by profession, but an artist by passion. i love to draw and paint beautiful things and the world is full of endless possibilities. by profession i am a 911 dispatcher and work for fire and police. it is an intense interesting job and i love it.
what i'd really love to do as well is create beautiful pieces of art for people. my talents would fall with landscapes and buildings and plants and animals. i work best with my pencils, but my paintings are starting to become a close second. i love the challenge of working on a variety of materials like canvas and in sketchbooks and have started working on skateboards as well. i have the idea that painting on a guitar would look pretty awesome, so i'll let you know how that goes.
over the past few years i have done some work freelance ranging from a charcol sketch of a house to a camo skateboard for a little girls room and two 5 foot nutcrackers done for decorating at christmas time. i also have created many pieces as gifts. this christmas alone i sketched 3 dogs in both charcol and pencil, painted a skateboard and painted a hawaiian sunset on canvas.
